Trapping!
If only we didn't have this problem to deal with. To prevent this happening everyone needs to have their 6 month old female or male kitten neutered or spayed thus preventing any unwanted kittens. I hate to see cats that have no warm place to sleep or not able to get veterinary attention when they are ill. The ISPCA have launched a great new project. The ISPCA is launching a new Spay Drive initiative to tackle the proliferation of unwanted litters among the country’s feral cat population, which according to some estimates could be as high as 200,000. Through their Spay Drive campaign the ISPCA is hoping to raise enough money to run a Trap, Neuter and Release (TNR) scheme. Traps will be distributed among local SPCAs, which will be used to humanely capture feral cats so that they can be spayed or neutered before being released back to their existing habitat.
